Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Well the holidays flew by and here it is Jan. 2, 2008! Wow.

We started the Christmas holidays by heading to Houston Dec. 21. We had lots of fun staying at Grammy and Papa Tom's house (my mom and stepdad). We had a lovely Christmas lunch on Sunday at Champions Golf Club to celebrate the holiday with my dad, grandmother, my sister, brother in law and nephew. That evening we had a wonderful Christmas dinner at my mom's.

We came back to Austin Christmas Eve and Clay's parents, sister and her husband came over to go to church with us and have Christmas Eve dinner. If anyone remembers Rick Trevino, he attends our church and led the worship..so that was neat. (Just a side note here...since Clay and I married, we have always attented a church where someone famous/well known attends...Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs-Dave Draveky, Tim Lehey (author of Left Behind), Houston's First Baptist-Beth Moore, Morgan Ensberg))
We had a fun Christmas morning with just our little family of 4. Loren loved getting presents, but we quickly learned she had gotten too much so many of the presents are being saved for her birthday :) Her favorite present was a bouncy house.

After we ate breakfast and got through the gifts we went to Clay's parents in San Marcos for the rest of the day.
We had a small break on Dec. 26 before we loaded up the car to drive to Plainview, TX (between Lubbock and Amarillo) to celebrate Christmas with Clay's extended family. Loren got to see her first snow when we arrived Thursday night, so that was fun. She had so much fun playing with her cousins, and we had a great time catching up with everyone. I think I heard there were 30 people there celebrating Christmas with us. We headed home on New Years Eve, and Clay and I rang in the New Year sleeping :)
