Loren's 4th Birthday

Loren said her 4th birthday was the best day ever! We started the day having the girl's pictures taken, which I am anxious to see because it was our first time to ever take them for outdoor pictures with a photographer. My in-laws had come in the night before to celebrate with us, so it was helpful having them on hand getting the girls to smile. We then met Aunt Summer and Uncle Isaiah for lunch at Lupe Tortilla. Loren loved wearing the giant sombrero while the waiters sang to her...and she loved the cinnamon ice cream they brought her for dessert too!

It was then back to the house for a quick rest before Grammy and Papa Tom came over, and it was time to head to the park to get ready for the party. We have been praying for a month now for good weather for her party...and I was getting quite nervous when a huge storm rolled in Friday night before the party, and they were predicting isolated showers on Saturday (the day of her party). But God is good and held out the rain until the party was over!
Loren had so much fun...which meant so much to Clay and I. We had a lady come do face painting and balloon animals which the kids loved! When given the choice of what balloon animal Loren wanted, she picked a pink sword (no flower, butterfly or puppy for her)...which set off a trend of many balloon swords and sword fights...they had so much fun! They also played in the bouncy house, played pin the tail on the donkey and ate cupcakes :)

It is hard to believe we have a 4 year old now! One more year and she is off to school!

Sounds like it was a GREAT day! Happy Birthday Loren! It's hard to believe that she is that old already, she had just turned one when Brian & I came to visit - it doesn't seem that long ago - we sure do miss you guys though!

Looks like you guys had a fun day! I can't believe Cayden will be 4 on Wednesday... It seems like yesterday that Damon and I were headed to our last "delivery class" when Mom called to tell me Loren had arrived! I can't believe we are parents of 4 year olds!
