Last week we took a trip to the Porter (small town north of Kingwood) Fire Station with our MOPS group. The girls had never been to a fire station before. We got a great tour! Camryn was a little unsure of the whole thing, but she did let the fireman put her in the truck...but she was quickly ready to get out. I think she was having fun with it all until another fireman dressed up in his full gear to show the kids...she Freaked out...and is still saying "no fireman" several times a day!
Last Friday was Loren's first soccer practice...the one the week before was rained out. Saturday was her first game. Before it even started she was crying (still not sure how that started), and Clay was getting increasingly mad. She pulled it together, we took our places on the sideline, and began cheering on the Blue Angels. They did not pull out the win...but in all fairness, the other team had much bigger girls on it. We also realized that Loren is not aggressive...we knew this...but it was clearly revealed on the field. Time will tell if this can be a learned skill..when 8 little girls are in a herd trying to get the soccer ball, it is definitely a requirement :)
