Rockport

This past weekend we headed to Rockport for Memorial Day weekend. My family has had a condo there since I was 1, so we have spent more days there than I can begin to count...so it's fun to be taking our kids down there now and seeing them enjoy it like we used to growing up. Meredith, Jonathan and William, and my dad also met us down there. We had a fun weekend full of swimming, fishing, and eating :)

Loren was particularly excited about the fishing part. On the way down there she said "I cannot believe I am going to catch a REAL fish". The pressure was on to make sure her expectations were met. Sure enough, the fishing was a success...she caught 3 fish the first day, and 2 the second.

There were also several "firsts" for Camryn. It was her first trip to Rockport, her first time in the swimming pool, and her first boat ride. She was not exactly thrilled with her first boat ride...she screamed the whole time we were in the boat on our way to lunch. Going back, we thought to leave off her life vest in hopes of a more enjoyable time, and sure enough that did the trick. If only that wasn't against the law...
