Last weekend the girls and I headed to Dallas with my mom for somewhat of a pilgrimage to the American Girl store there. It was also a long overdue trip to visit my grandmother there. Loren has been wanting an American Girl for some time now, and we finally decided she was old enough to appreciate it. We wanted to have the full experience, so we knew going to the store would be so fun! It is her early Christmas gift from my mom. Mimi (my grandmother) also bought her some early gifts there too. Well, of course I did too.
We toured the store for quite some time examining each and every doll. Loren fell in love with one from the Just Like Me collection. Here she is pointing to it, it is in the top, left corner. She also got a little dog named Coconut, a tote bag to carry the doll in, and some clothes.
It was then time for our lunch reservation. The dolls sit at the table with you, and they bring them little cups and saucers. It was very fun, and a real treat for the girls.
We then headed over to the doll salon. We have the Bitty Twin dolls, so Camryn got to have the doll's hair done. I wish I had a picture. You pick from a list of hair styles, and then the stylist buckles the doll into a little salon chair. She put a little cape on the doll, and went to work on it's hair. Camryn got a half pony tail for it. That was Camryn's treat for the day, and she was so pleased.
Two happy girls leaving the store...one with a new doll, and the other with a new doll hairstyle :)
