Scottsdale

The past weekend Clay and I took a wonderful four day weekend trip to Scottsdale, AZ. I cannot remember the last time Clay and I have taken a real trip, just the two of us, and it was long overdue! Clay planned this as a bit of surprise trip, and I just found out about 2 weeks before we were going. He made sure it would be first class the whole way...from our flight, to the super cool Audi we got to drive, to our stay at the Four Seasons. It was so nice to get away kid free and just relax! The resort had wonderful cabanas by the pool with misters spraying to lay out under...so we spent a lot of our time there. We also went on an early morning hike, got to eat some wonderful meals, Clay played golf at one of the best courses in the state, and I went shopping (I almost forgot how nice it is to shop without kids!). It was hot, but it didn't bother us a bit, and we soaked up the beauty of the desert :) We enjoyed every minute of it, and look forward to returning again!

We owe a HUGE thanks to Clay's parents, sister, and brother-in-law for taking care of the girls for us!!! We appreciated it SOOO much!!!
