We have had a fun (and busy) last few days. It started last Friday as we packed up and headed to Houston for Nanny's (my grandmother) 90th birthday party. It was a very nice, somewhat of surprise party at my cousin's house. If you know Nanny, you know that she doesn't show her age in the least. She is still more "with it" than most people one quarter of her age.
Saturday we just did some shopping, grilled, and watched the Aggies lose (again).
Sunday we took Loren to "trunk or treat" at my mom's church. The youth group set up games out of the trunks of cars and gave out candy. Loren really enjoyed playing the games and watching all the other kids.
Monday we got together with our old neighborhood friends. It was so fun to catch up and watch the kids play. I don't think Loren even realized she hadn't seen them in a month.
Tuesday we took the girls for their first professional photos. They both held out long enough to get a few good ones....

Wednesday we headed back to Austin with my mom and stepdad for Halloween. We had a fun night going to a neighbor's Halloweenie roast and trick-or-treating with the neighborhood kids. Loren loved dressing up as a ballerina. Camryn posed for a few pictures in her peanut costume from Aunt Summer and her clown costume loaned to us from Kristen. She was then off to bed to sleep through the rest of the festivities.
Now it is Thursday, my mom and Tom headed back to Houston, and alas, our life must return to normal :)
